Baja Breeze

The scanner didn't scan this card very well, but this is i got to say my favorite card out of the 7 I made today.  I used Baja Breeze retired cardstock, also the dsp holiday collection is also retired.  I used a pigment ink that matched as close to the baja breeze colour here. I loved the 3D flower!  I used a shimmering snowflake looking paper punched out four scallop circles did some folding and cutting added the clear rhinestone destressed the edges of the whisper white card stock and here is yet another creation.  I am starting to run out of idea's might have to take a break, maybe try again with some more tomorrow.

Pacific Point Angel

Here I used Pacific Point and Whisper White card stock, along with silver craft ink and pacific point.  I used the large oval punch and the scallop punch, i also used the piercing tool to go along the scalloped edge to give it that little extra look. This angel came in an acrylic stamp set. Enjoy.

Embossed Ornament

Hello again, as you all can tell I have been busy creating and coming up with some Christmas card idea's.  This card was fun I used  the snowflakes embossing folder, real red, glorious green, whisper white card stock, craft white, glorious green ink pad, added some ribbon and used the crimping tool and here you have it another card.

Soft Suede Reindeer

I found a card that was made all in Soft Suede so i tried it myself and i liked it but i added a touch of Razzel Dazzel to give it a little something. Hope you like it.

Dasher Red Glitter

I loved making this card it was so simple.  I used old olive, riding hood red and very vanilla card stock, then i used the new Dasher stamp and a retired christmas set for the merry christmas also in riding hood red and then i embossed the dasher stamp and used gold glitter along with a strip of red glitter and there you have it a very simple and elegant card.

Red n White 3D Flower

I wanted to make a card using only red and white, so this is what i came up with.  I used the little leaves die cut from stampin up, the scallop circle punch to make the 3d flower a red rhinestone brad for the middle, then I used craft white ink for the sentement. I used whisper white and real read for the card stock. Until my next post enjoy.

Peel N Stick Bird

I bought all these peel and stick birds, flowers, christmas and so forth and am trying to come up with some different ideas. This was my first card with them, i need to get some micro glitter and use it on the double sided glue pictures. I used basic black, old olive, razzel dazzle, and chocolate chip card stock, added some ribbon and dimensionals and here you have it a nice sharp male like card. Until my next post enjoy.

Daisy Thanksgiving

I used Dusty Durango, Crush Curry, Old Olive, Razzel Dazzel, and Soft Suede card stock, the daisies 2 die cut, simple leaves die cut, the scallop oval, and the large oval punch.  I also used the leaves embossing folder from the cuttlebug, added a yellow tiny button, old olive grossgrain ribbon and there we have it a nice simple thanksgiving card. Until my next post enjoy.

Fresh Cut Notes

Hello again, I think i am getting my mojo back, because i made two more cards today.  I started off with the orange one having the pumkin theme, but it ended up turning out to have a more elegent look to it.  The second fresh cut is a snow flake theme and i couldn't find any ribbon that matched the bordering blue so i went with the baby blue ribbon.  I hope u like them, until my next post enjoy.

Boo Punches

I came across this stamp set that was unmounted from 2001, so i mounted them made up this little card to just now realize i missed a stamp.  It is a set of 12 so i will have to go and see what stamp i left out.  I wasn't sure if i should have put another colour for the background, what do u think.  I hope because i made 2 cards today that means my mojo is starting to come back.  I would love to get some feed back that would be lovely.  Until my next post.

Thanksgiving Pumpkins

Here is another fall like card, i am in a creative funk these past few weeks.  Guess it is the scrapbooking layouts that is doing it to me hehehe.  Well once the kids start back to school hopefully my mojo will come back.  I mixed this card up with a bunch of scraps i had left over used some stampin up and other company stuff to come up with this one.  Hope you like, until my next post enjoy.

Hello everyone. Sorry i haven't been posting as often as i use to. I have been so busy scrapbooking soooo many pictures to get through. Well I did get some time today to make a card. I loved colouring this card in with my blender pen (best invention ever those blender pens. I'm not too sure about the background flowers so I am going to keep trying to come up with some different idea's for it. I find it really hard coming up with ideas, how do all you ladies do it :) Well until my next post enjoy.

Sparkle Clouds Airplane

Well this is my second idea i came up with from the Martha Sewart stamp set. I used this dimensional liqued I got from Micheal's craft store called Glistening Snow Writer. When i used it i thought it was perfect cause it came out white with sparkles, but when i came back a few hours later to see if it was dry, i was disappointed to see it dried clear with tones of sparkles. I love sparkles so will use this product again but for making clouds for a boys card, well it didn't turn out in my opinion. It is still a cute card but i don't think the clouds fit, what do you think? Again i used dimensions to raise the plane, the sparkle gel pen for the highlights. The card stock is from Stampin Up it is tempting turquoise, yoyo yellow, and close to cocoa. I used the new eyelets punch for that added touch.
Well until my next post enjoy.

Airplane B-Day

This is my first try with this stamp set i got by Martha Stewart. It will be for my son's 10th birthday. I used buttons from Close to my heart, and dsp Urban Oasis, Brilliant Blue, and Yoyo Yellow card stock from Stampin Up. I did use dimensionals for the airplane, 10, and scallop happy birthday. I used a sparkle gel pen for the highlighting. I wasn't sure if i like this card so i made a second one. I will post it next hope you like it. Until my next post enjoy.

It is so hard coming up with new ideas, I will continue to play around with this set to see what eles i can imagine up. I am surprised I came up with anything at all with this heat wave never ending lol. The colour scheme is rose red, coral cameo, old olive and raspberry tart dsp. the Thanks so much is from the new hostess lvl 3 stamp set. Hope you like.
Until my next post enjoy.

Presents Scapbook Page

Here was a really simple and fun page to make! I used Real Red card stock, Brilliant Blue ink, Apricot craft ink, added some brads and simple as pie you see a simple yet useful page for your album. I wish you could see the full page to see how great they look. But the presents are on both sides of the pages with 4 pictures and balloons and happy birthday through out the page. So know you can see how to incorporate your stamp sets with your photo's and start making your own scrapbook and brag albums. There are various sizes you can make too, I just like the 12X12 cause I love to take pictures so I need more space to work with lol. Until my next post enjoy.

Scrap Page Petal Pizazz

Here is a stamp set that is available still "Petal Pizzazz"
I used Rose Red, Old Olive, Glorious Green, and Real Red ink, "all available still" I used Bella Rose DSP "retired" for the mating and yoyo yellow brads. I stamped all away around the 12X12 card stock. So here are a few different layouts hope you like and get some of your own ideas using some of your stamp sets in a new way.
Until my next post enjoy.

Cute Picinic Bugs

Here is another layout, sorry it is too long to rotate I tried, and as you can tell I can only get half of the pages scanned. This was a very old stamp set i don't remember what it was called just that picinic was in it lol. But as you can sort of see I used Bella Rose DSP paper "retired" for the mating and all of the rich regal ink colors hard to see I know. But just another layout you could get idea's from. Couple of the pics I used designer brads from Micheal's.
Until my next post enjoy.

Birthday Cake Scrap Page

Hello everyone, I am back from my trip and busy making scrap pages. Yes taking a break from cards :) but don't you worry I will make cards again soon.
I just wanted to show you all how you can incorporate your stamps set with scrapbooking. The next several posts will all have stamp sets from stamping up that will be used, most of the stamp sets i used are retired. I just wanted you to see the layouts that could be used.
Here I used the Fun and Fast Notes stamp set "still available" Pacific Point ink and card stock (retired colour)
And the new in color Crushed Curry ink and card stock.
I took whisper white 12X12 card stock and stamped all over,
mated the pictures added some accessories and there is a bright beautiful scrap page.

Sesame Street Pals

Ok I am not sure if you can tell but there is 4 seperate full size cards here. As you can see I used the bolds brights color series, the # 2 Scallop Big Shot dizs and all kinds of different hand punches. These cards where so much fun to make, but did take a long time to get put as a set, and I still have the card box to make which i will post tomorrow for you all to see. These cards and the box would be a perfect birthday gift to give some one. Oh by the way Big Birds beak opens up and has a red tongue to see.

Until my next post enjoy.

Bella Birds DSP (Retired)

I finally found something to do with the Bella Birds DSP which I love so much. I found a similar layout using bella birds dsp on splitcoasters website, i used different sides of the paper she used, to make it my own of course and this is what i came up with. I used brads instead of ribbon and I just now noticed i used pink pirouette as my base, when it should be the same as the middle card stock, which is chocolate chip. I will make another one hehe and fix this, also the stamp says " I hope your birthdays is as happy as happy gets". It is in so saffron and is from the lvl 3 hostess set call Kind and Caring Thoughts.
Until my next post enjoy.

Hope you feel better soon.

Well what you think this is my second attempt with this new stamp set Kind and Caring thoughts. Not sure if im likeing it so far, I have tried a few different layouts and this is one i liked so thought i would post it. I used almost all of the in colors but the soft suede, and used the blender pen then added crystal effects thinking i should have used a little less on the blue one. Well let me know what you think.

Until my next post enjoy.

And its all good!

Well I have been playing around with the in colors again and well im thinking it doesn't go with the rose red and cameo well i do like the look of the blending and crystal effects, i will keep playing. First one always is the worst lol.
Until my next post enjoy.

Thomas Kindkade

Opps a little crooked, this is a Thomas Kindcade stamp that i used copic markers to colour and blend then i added the eyelets on the side because it needed just a little touch up but i didn't want to take away from the picture. I used Sahara sand, durango, and kiwi kiss card stock.
I hope you like, i wasn't sure if i liked it.

Until my next post enjoy.

Flower Pot Babies

This was my first card I made with this stamp set from Close to my Heart - Flower Child.
I used bliss blue, lovely lilac, rose red, only orange, and banana yellow retired ink and card stock. For the pots i used the new soft suede and for the flower stem i used sage. I added some shimmer to sparkle it up and this is what i came up with. I do like my previouse card much better, but what a cute stamp set hey everyone.
Until my next post i hope you enjoy...

Pastel Flower Babies

This stamp set was so cute i had to play with it. I came up with two different cards. This card looks better in person, I know it isn't Stampin Up slap my hands hehe. I did use so saffron, certain celery, and tea party dsp from stampin up thou, and i did use stampin up inks too. The stamp set is from close to my heart and it is called Flower Child. I used my stampin up blender pen to colour it all in with bliss blue, sage, pretty in pink, blush, rose red, and banana yellow retired. I then cut out the flowers from the tea party dsp and cut the babies out and put them on dimensionals, the background was sponged with mint green also retired ink and took my scissors to give the egdes a rough look.

Until my nest post i hope you enjoy this one..

Soft Suede Forest Friends

I think this stamp set is so cute, I love it.
I used Bella Birds DSP, So Saffron, Bordering Blue, and the new Soft Suede for this card. The ink is soft suede and the leaves are old olive. This stamp set is called Forest Friends and is also available in the 2009/2010 Catalogue. I touched the pictures up with a gel clear sparkle pen. They all are on dimensonials. Hope you like.
Until my next post Enjoy.

Curry 2010 in colour

Well I received the new 2010 in colour bundle and started making some cards. So far I came up with two cards.

This One i used the Curry, Bermuda, and Melon card stock and inks. I can't remember what this stamp set is called but I think it is retiring at the end of the month...

Hope you like until my next post enjoy.

Happy Birthday Flowers

Ok here is the second copy of the same design, but this one i used brads instead of eyelets, and i added crystal effects to the sand. I should have thined out my old crystal effects for it was too thick and i had to use my finger to spread it around which ended up spreading the blue sand to the middle of the blue flower. So what you think ladies, should i send the this one or the second one in for the contest. Well until my next post enjoy.

So Bright and Cheerful

Yeah i got my creative flow back, I was so disappointed with my last post i worked on it all night and this is what i came up with, so much better. I still used the reinker sand and the petal pizazz stamp set, and used eyelets for the centre's. Im not sure which copy im going to enter in the stampin up success magazine. I will show you them both and you tell me which one to enter. Ok im going to post my second copy they both look alot a like.

Sand Pizazz

Hello again everyone, Im sorry i haven't posted in a couple weeks i am in a creative slump right now, I finally came up with this card, so let me know if you like.I used the Petal Pizazz stamp set and i know i should have used pacific point card stock but i didn't have any left. I don't know if you can tell but i used coloured sand for the flowers. It is so simple to do and so much fun.
I bought a bag of kids play sand because it is sanitized then i put some in a bowl and took my ink refills and mixed it together let it dry and this is what came of the sand. So bright and such a neat tecnique to try out.I just used a glue pen.
Until my next post enjoy.

Rose Red Butterfly second card

See ladies same layout just different colours and i decided to dimensional the flowers this time and make the top panels longer then the first card. The colours are rose red, very vanilla, and old olive. The dsp is raspberry tart, the brads are the antique set and I used a sparkle green pen to highlight. I left these two cards sentiment free felt it would clutter the front of the card up too much. I also gave both of these cards a very pretty very vanilla eyelet edged punch insert. I hope you all like these two cards. Enjoy til my next post. Shauna.

Blue Butterfly

I am having so much fun coming up with idea's for the God's Beauty stamp set. I used bliss blue, very vanilla, and tempting turquoise card stock, dsp pink flamingo and tempting turquoise classic ink. I highlighted the flowers and butterfly with a silver sparkle pen. I used dimensionals for the butterfly and circle ice rhinestones. I also made a second card that looks alot alike but in a different colour, I was amazed at how much of a difference it made by just changing the colours. Well I love both of the Cards I will post the second card above. Enjoy til my next post. Shauna

Sunday, May 17, 2009

I just love how the colours came together in this card. I used God's Beauty stamp set, almost amethtst and night of navy card stock. For the back ground i used tea party dsp. The ink is pacific blue. Then i added some flower ribbon and added some brads to give it that special touch. The butterfly has dimesionals to pop it up. I love this card and the colours.

Love Hearts

I love this card and the colours. I used certain celery, so saffron, bliss blue and DSP Delicate Dots from Sale a Bration (no longer available). I then used the stamp set Wonderful Words and the new Eyelets SU Punch, my new favorite toy lol. I embossed the hearts with the Polka Dot Punches stamp set with white emboss powder and added dimensionals. Then as you can see I added some ribbon. I am contemplating adding another heart, either basic grey or so saffron to have three hearts. What do you think? Till my next post enjoy.

Kind People

With this card I used confetti cream, ruby red, and water colour paper. The ink is chocolate chip and staza on black. I took more mustard, old olive, and ruby red markers and blended them with the aqua painter for the soft summer flower image. As you can see i destressed the edges and ended the card with this 5/8 grosgrain chocolate chip ribbon. This was such a nice card for me to make, I really like it.

Lady Bug Birthday

I love this card the colours blended together amazingly. I used basic black, rose red, and regal rose card stock. As you can see I used the scallop circle punch, the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" circle punches. I used two different stamp sets the lady bug is from the Hostess level 1 Darling Dots, and the Happy Birthday is from the winter fall catalogue which was Many Scallops. The lady bug paper was from Las Vegas from a Scrapbooking store. I touched this card up with red gingham ribbon. Hope you like. Till my next post enjoy....

Cover of Pink Manhattan

What a cute card wish it would scan better for you all, but i tried three or four times and this was the best scan, sorry. I used pretty in pink and certain celery card stock, I embossed the pink paper with the manhattan SU impression folder. Then i sponged the two flowers with pretty in pink stamp pad ink to give it some dimension and texture and topped it off with a clear rhinestone brad and 5/8 gingham ribbon. I used the scallop punch for the label. The posting below is the inside of this card I thought it was very cute and added a nice touch to this simple yet elegant card. Til my next post enjoy...

Inside Pink Manhattan

This is the inside of the Manhattan Pink card i used a designer edge punch that leaves a nice embossed edge too. The "make a wish" is the large oval punch then i used dimension dots to have it pop through the front of the cover. I know the card looks simple but I thought it was very springy and elegant. Hope you like.

Treat Pouch

This is a very simple yet fun to make cause you get to use sanding blocks to make the flower look like it is fabric when it is really paper. Sorry i forgot to fill the inside with treats to show you how it opens. So all you do is cut a piece of Baja Breeze card stock at 4" X 12" then score at 4", 5", and 9". I used the Soft Summer stamp set and the Chocolate Chip Corduroy brads, Kiwi Kiss for the little strip under the Tangerine Tango DSP flower. Now that it is all decorated you can fold the score lines and there you go, you have your treat pouch. Til my next post enjoy...

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Gift Card Folder

This folder was alot of fun to make and so easy. I cut 2 3/4" by 8 1/2" for the little note cards, then used the 1 3/4" circle punch for the cute little bird. The folder was 9 3/4" by 6" then lengthwise score at 4 3/4" and 5", then rotate 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2". I also used DSP to decorate the inside of the little envelopes. This was so easy and fun and how cute to give as a gift. Til my next post enjoy.....

Raspberry Tart Birthday Surprise

This card was made with Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Raspberry Tart DSP Paper. Then I spread mirco glitter on the middle piece of paper, and used the happy birthday stamp and put it all together with the scallop and circle punches.. Then I topped it off with this nice piece of ribbon and a cute little brad. Hope you like, till my next Post enjoy...

Butterfly Birthday

This card was so much fun to make, all i did was make a mask by stamping the black windows on a spare piece of paper, then i cut out the center. I placed the spare piece of paper down and stamped the butterflies in the holes of the masked paper. After the butterflies were stamped i went and stamped the frame around the butterflies. I used markers to colour in and then covered it with Crystal Effects. I used Bliss Blue, Very Vanilla, and Whisper White card stock. Til next time enjoy...

Scallop Punch Flower

This card was fun to make and such bright colours too. I used Flamingo DSP, So Saffron, Pumkin Pie, and Very Vanilla card stock. I took the Scallop Punch and folded it in half but not threw a scallop, then flipped it over counted 2 scallops and folded over, and then the last 2 scallops you will see naturally fold over. Then I opened the scallop completely and cut at the smallest fold end cutting along the original half fold from the beginning. This gives you 2 pieces which gives you the 2 different patterns. You will see as you make it how it comes together and what im trying to explain. Then i embossed the Happy Anniversary. Til my next post have a great day.

Cameo Coral Garden

I was going threw my stamp sets and came across this one set from summer 2008 and i loved it so much i brought it out from retirement to see what i could come up with. I used cameo coral, creamy caramel, and very vanilla card stock, along with cameo coral ink pad. The stamp set is "From the Garden" it was a level 2 hostest set from last summer which is no longer available sorry. I used the designer label punch along with the circle punches, and last but not least finished it off with the gingham ribbon cameo coral. So how about going threw your old sets and see what you can come up with!!!
Until my next post enjoy...

Post it Note Holder

I made this post it note holder at a retreat i went to, the back holder is 4" chipboard covered in old olive DSP, then I used bliss blue, ruby red, and whisper white card stock, with bliss blue ink pad and dazzaling diamond glitter. I don't know the measurements, for the pieces were pre cut sorry. As you can see we used the scallop, and circle punches, and toped it off with white ribbon. When you lift the lid you glue the pad of post it notes to the the chipboard and only glue the back page of the note pad hehehe. You can use any stamp set you like to decorate the top with.

Til my next post enjoy.
